HUMI ( The Human Sumi Brush ) created and developed after a trip to Japan
where I discovered large sumi type brushes. While on a train to Kobe I sketched out
the idea to suspend a model upside down and use her like a large sumi brush, dipping
her hair into sumi black ink and creating paintings on the fly. The performance has
been staged in : Scottsdale and Carefree Arizona as well as at the Design Center
in San Francisco.
